Mountain Vista- I believe this is
truly one of a kind as far as
construction of the piece. There
are many eagles out there with
double wings. I have seen carved
wood heads, bronze heads, and
wings put into the side of the
carved antler which causes it to
lose it symmetry. I split the billets
of both antlers and joined the two
together, then carved the eagle
head giving it a very uniform wing
appearance. The head was then
painted using acrylic paint, the
wings stained with antler stain and
then sealed with satin lacquer. The
eagle does come off of its
manzanita wood base allowing one
to mount this eagle anywhere, for
example a high stairway post or
railing.
